At The Book Nook, we're committed to delivering your literary treasures safely and efficiently. This Shipping Policy outlines our shipping methods, costs, delivery times, and procedures.
Shipping Rates
Standard Shipping: FREE on all orders
Estimated Delivery Time: 3 to 8 business days
We believe every book lover deserves access to great literature without additional shipping costs. That's why we offer free standard shipping on all orders to addresses within the United States.
Processing Time
Orders are typically processed within 1-2 business days (Monday through Friday, excluding holidays). You will receive an email confirmation once your order has been placed, and another notification with tracking information once your order has shipped.
Please note:
- Orders placed on weekends or holidays will be processed on the next business day
- During peak seasons (holidays, back-to-school, etc.), processing times may be extended by 1-2 additional days
- Custom orders or special requests may require additional processing time
Shipping Methods
We partner with reliable carriers including USPS, UPS, and FedEx to ensure your books arrive safely. The specific carrier used will depend on your location and package size.
All shipments include:
- Tracking information sent via email
- Secure packaging to protect your books during transit
- Delivery confirmation
Delivery Timeframes
Standard Shipping: 3 to 8 business days after processing
Delivery times are estimates based on standard carrier transit times and are not guaranteed. The actual delivery time may vary depending on:
- Your shipping address location
- Weather conditions
- Carrier delays
- Holidays and peak shipping periods
- Customs processing (for international orders, if applicable)
Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.
Shipping Destinations
We currently ship to all addresses within the United States, including:
- All 50 states
- APO/FPO/DPO military addresses
- U.S. territories (Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, etc.)
International Shipping:
At this time, we do not offer international shipping outside of U.S. territories. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope to expand our shipping destinations in the future.
Order Tracking
Once your order ships, you will receive:
- A shipping confirmation email
- Tracking number and carrier information
- Direct link to track your package
You can track your order by:
- Clicking the tracking link in your shipping confirmation email
- Visiting the carrier's website and entering your tracking number

Package Protection
All orders are carefully packaged to ensure your books arrive in excellent condition. We use:
- Sturdy boxes and padded envelopes
- Protective wrapping for delicate items
- Secure sealing to prevent damage during transit
Risk of Loss:
Title and risk of loss pass to you upon delivery to the shipping carrier. Once the carrier confirms delivery, The Book Nook is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged packages.
Delivery Issues
Lost or Stolen Packages
If your tracking information shows that your package was delivered but you did not receive it:
- Check with neighbors, household members, or building management
- Look for the package in alternate delivery locations (porches, mailrooms, etc.)
- Contact the carrier directly using your tracking number
- Contact us at team.thebooknook@gmail.com if the package cannot be located
We will work with you and the carrier to resolve the issue. In cases of confirmed carrier error, we may offer a replacement or refund.
Damaged Packages
If your package arrives damaged:
- Take photos of the damaged packaging and any damaged items
- Contact us immediately at team.thebooknook@gmail.com with:
- Your order number
- Photos of the damage
- Description of the issue
- Keep all packaging materials until the issue is resolved
We will arrange for a replacement or refund at no additional cost to you.
Wrong or Missing Items
If you receive the wrong item or are missing items from your order:
- Contact us within 48 hours of delivery at team.thebooknook@gmail.com
- Provide your order number and details about the issue
- Include photos if applicable
We will correct the error promptly by sending the correct or missing items at no additional charge.
Address Changes
Before Shipment:
If you need to change your shipping address after placing an order but before it ships, please contact us immediately at team.thebooknook@gmail.com or (763) 269-7323. We will do our best to update your address, but we cannot guarantee changes once the order is processed.
After Shipment:
Once your order has shipped, we cannot change the delivery address. You may be able to:
- Contact the carrier directly to request an address change or hold for pickup
- Refuse delivery so the package returns to us (you may then place a new order)
Please note that carrier-initiated address changes may incur additional fees charged by the carrier.
Undeliverable Packages
If a package is returned to us as undeliverable due to an incorrect address, refusal of delivery, or multiple failed delivery attempts:
- We will contact you to arrange reshipment
- Additional shipping charges may apply for reshipment
- If you choose not to have the order reshipped, a refund will be issued minus any return shipping costs incurred
Please ensure your shipping address is complete and accurate when placing your order.
Military Addresses (APO/FPO/DPO)
We proudly ship to military addresses. Please note:
- Standard delivery times apply, but actual delivery may take longer depending on location
- Military addresses may experience additional screening or delays
- Ensure your military address is formatted correctly when placing your order
Holidays and Peak Seasons
During major holidays and peak shopping seasons, please allow additional time for processing and delivery:
- Orders placed during holidays may experience 1-3 days additional processing time
- Carrier transit times may be extended by 2-5 days
- We recommend ordering early for holiday gifts to ensure timely delivery
Order Splitting
If you order multiple items:
- Items may ship separately to ensure faster delivery
- Each shipment will have its own tracking number
- You will receive separate shipping notifications for each package
- There is no additional cost for split shipments
